read the terms and conditions of the policy - this should indicate what should have happened.
It might merely be a clerical error - were the goods you bought the sort you could have got straight away or are they special order/customised products whose delivery time would have been hard to specify?0 -
yes i checked it with customer services and they assure me it could not possible start untill the goods were delivered point blank !!
after checking with the insurance company i am told it was activated by the store on the 20/9/11. goods were delivere on the 8/11/11.0 -
...then you need to go back to the store you bought the insurance from...0

If you have it in writing that the policy will not start until you get the goods then I would say it is now time to put your complaint in writing to the store.
I would ask them to explain how your policy to cover your goods for 5 years can take effect before you had not taken possession of the goods, thus effectively providing you with a period of coverage less than the stated (and agreed) 5 year period?
Include a copy of your supporting documentation and ask them how they propose to resolve the situation.0
