  • WD40 is not a lubricant.

Try silicone-based spray furniture polish, not just on the hinges but all along the frames.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Is it actually the hinges? By front door squeaks terribly, because it's rubbing against the plastic weather strip at the bottom of the door frame.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

wooden doors swell in the winter and make all sorts of noises. come the warmer weather the noises disappear.
candle wax is as good as anything else.
    Get some gorm.

WD40 is a lubricant and as you have applied it to your hinges the noise , as referred to above, is likely to be coming from somewhere else.
Have a look at the edges of your door and you may be able to see marks or burnishing which could tell you where the noise is coming from.
    Forgotten but not gone.

Doors expand in summer definitely - my PVCU door is difficult to open/ close at the height of summer as I have a South facing front door

Can of 3 in 1 Oil (if the hinge) also great for all those wee jobs.
