Thanks Amazon

Amazon does get it's critics but i should like to say thanks to them for their amazing speed of a refund and ease of sending back the faulty item.

Last week i gave my sister a personal CD player for her birthday, from Amazon. It is actually quite hard to buy one these days, with all the Ipods and MP3 players around! On Friday she handed it back saying the music kept jumping when playing, even when the player was still. So i went to the Amazon site and they provide an easy way of reporting the fault and then you can print off a form with a prepaid postage slip to put on the front of the parcel.

I sent it back Saturday, got an email Tuesday to say it had arrived and they were processing the refund and today the money is back in my account.Cannot fault them.It also means i can go and buy another,as i chose not to have a replacement just in case it was an inherent fault.I have tracked one down at Currys,a "last in line" so obviously they are stopping them too.

I buy a fair amount of stuff over the net, rather than the shops, and certainly will not worry what would happen if it went wrong with Amazon. What are other people's experiences of sending stuff back, for future reference?
