Best (Cheap!) place to buy a MacBook Pro?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but thought you lovely people may be able to help.
I'm looking for a new (or ex display) MacBook Pro 13" for a knockdown price. I've looked everywhere, including eBay but as you can imagine I just don't want to part with that much cash on there.
Does anyone have anywhere to recommend? KRCS used to have ex display models that were really cheap but unfortunately as I've raised the money they've disappeared!
I've checked Apple online but nowhere currently has any end of line models. Are there any good resellers or outlets out there I may have missed?
Thanks
Ruth

Well I can currently get a Macbook from Apple for £999 with the education discount. I was hoping to get one cheaper than this ideally.0

Argos do macbook pro 13 for 899. If they take student card, then even less. May or may not be the same spec as from the one you have seen

Does it have to be a Apple mac, get lot better spec netbooks at a lower priceMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
The words "MacBook Pro" and "cheap" do not belong in the same sentence!0

So, recently deciding to get myself a MacBook Pro and the one I wanted is exactly £999, but after doing some research I found that if you were to buy it from America in British pounds, its £767.50 so doing further research I also found if you purchase some BestBuy vouchers of some websites, you can get the for about 8% off and then buy those vouchers, use them on BestBuy.com and order the product to your home in the UK with free shipping and no included tax. So over all you're saving nearly £240 which is brilliant.
I found this info for my brother, got his Mac about 2 months ago.0 -

Did you have to pay tax/customs charges on this.0 -

Assuming you're not slapped with extra charges when it arrives in the country this means you get something with an American keyboard layout, yes?0 -
Tanglefoot - yes. And an American plug on the charger, you'll have to get yourself a UK bit for it.
This comes up often. US prices are quoted EXCLUDING tax - it's different in the different states, so they always have to add it on themselves. DavidQuinn101 (do you work for Amazon/Starbucks?) seems proud of avoiding tax. BestBuy shouldn't be shipping US products to the UK either.0 -
And what about the warranty-is it US only or universal? If the former, you'll have to ship it back to the US in case of any problems. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
