It seems since mid December my email address has stopped working too, no WEM for a while and I'm having a problem with Facebook too, no comp wins there either. I know someone must be trying to call, email or message me about my many and varied wins surely? No? Oh well, better keep trying! :-)
Nice to know you all use mobiles, I was beginning to wonder if that was a problem but obviously not. I just need to be patient and carry on comping!0 -
i have an old scabby mobile i use for anything like comping/gumtree and i have had many a winning call. It also means if i have missed a dreaded tickbox then the spam calls dont annoy me
would love to win an ipad!

I only give my mobile no, I've got a landline, but that's only for broadband and I haven't bothered getting a phone for it. I've had a few wtc's, hoping for an ITV one very soon........0

My mobile - wouldn't want to miss a WTC while I was out!
Although I got a WTC during an exam once (I saw missed call afterwards, phoned back, was promotions agency dealing with comps but they never did work out what comp I was being called in relation to so I never got that prize, whatever it was!
) 2008 wins: £5615 2009 wins: £2832 2010 wins: £1265 2011 wins: £1888 2012 wins: £1000 spa voucher0 -
I would only give my mobile, but there are some comps that ask for landline no also, when I put my mobile number in that section it rejects it and says it's not a valid landline number
Also why do some comps want your DOB what difference does that make in a comp0 -

Do you know which companies do that? I don't have a landline so always put mobile number in the landline box (if it's a requirement) and have never had a problem.
DOB is usually because a lot of comps have a minimum age (eg 18). Asking for just month or year wouldn't be enough, if you had just had your birthday.0 -

If you need a landline no. try sipgate.co.uk (it's basically a net phone with a UK landline number). It's free to setup and receive incoming calls. It has voicemail and call logs so you don't need to have it online all the time. I've had a few WTC on it and just call back via mobile.
You can run sipgate on a computer, using a hardware net phone or if you have a smartphone you might be able to attach the sipgate 'landline' number to your mobile too.0
