What phone number do you use?

I'm just wondering whether giving my mobile number for competitions is putting people off or if I am genuinely not being chosen and if it's the latter that's fine obviously. I just see lots of threads saying 'just had a call from blah blah to tell me I've won' and I've never had a call at all

Is it best to give a home number? i just never like to give that one out to be honest but if it's stopping me winning I will reconsider.

I only give my mobile, as until recently I didn't have a landline. Have had a few winning telephone calls to my mobile number, so I don't think it really makes a difference.
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

  • My big win was to my mobile - only number I ever give out!
  • I've only ever given my mobile out and have had many winning calls so I don't think that it matters x

I wouldn't give out my real landline as it's more hassle to change should it get too spammy.

I use a comping mobile and a comping 'landline' (via sipgate).

I give my landline. My mobile is only given to a few people and isn't always on

I only give my mobile and have winning calls and to be fair if I haven't answered they email anyway. I really don't think it makes any difference to winning or not as a fair few comps don't make a number mandatory anyway.

Happy Comping and good luck to everyone.
