Toilet Conundrum

Hi All,
I have a leak from both of the toilets in my new build Bloor Home. They are both leaking from the same point a pipe that sticks out the bottom left of the cistern. The pipe doesn't go anywhere it's about 2 inches long and has a thread on it and both toilets leak from here.
I also cannot get the cistern lid off to look, it's a dual button flush. Both buttons are the same size and I've tried turning the button assembly to unscrew but to no avail!
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks
J

if its a new build get in touch with the builders who can sort out a plumber for you?0

most push button cisterns have a lid which is fastened by the button. have you tried prising the button caps up to see if there is a screw under them?
the only pipe you should have under the toilet would be the inlet pipe but as the previous poster said, if its a new build get the builders to take a look.:)0 -

Actually there will be two holes in the ciustern one either side to allow for left or right hand entry depending on the plumbing arrangements. The unused one will be blanked on installation and the blanking arrangement can look like a small threaded pipe.the only pipe you should have under the toilet would be the inlet pipe but as the previous poster said, if its a new build get the builders to take a look.:)
OP - I suspect that the installers either haven't tightened up the nut on the outside of the cistern properly or forgotten the washer inside. I would get them back even though it can be as simple as that.

ps
it might be an overflow pipe that hasnt been connected.Get some gorm.0 -
Unlikely on a new install as they are all internal overflow now. But there is actually a (small) chance you could be correct depending on the precise circumstances of this one.
