Just been inspired to check my balance. The payment next month will take us below £200k, yay (infact only £95 over just now). Still a long way off yours though; and of course we will have no mortgage at all soon, hopefully. For a short period of time.
    0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

    AFD March 2/15 NSD March 2/11 :T

Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,005

Thanks everyone - lovely to hear from you.

A slow start to today as completely and wholly pooped. Was doing invoices until very very late but all done now bar one which OH needs to check, as I could hardly add up last night I was so tired. Had a lie in this morning tho and OH bought me a bacon sandwich and cuppa in bed. Joy of small things :)

So PC surveys done, caught up on a few diaries, YNAB settled (LSD yesterday as OH went out for a pint only). Another 3 AFDs this week. Not sure I could have coped with alcohol as so tired so rather glad I didn't go out much (only Thurs for two).

Our elderly bedframe has collapsed again (and no no time for that.. ;) it's not from overuse) but rather than buy a new one OH hoping to put another metal plate on the frame and it can live again. Currently sleeping on a handy futon in our room... thank god it was there at 2am when the bed collapsed without warning!! Would prefer not to have to cruise EBay looking for bargains or worse go to IKEA -and or spend the cash.

Will be a tighter month as realise I have overpaid VAT.. doh. I used the new calculation for the upcoming quarter against last quarter. Numpty. But hopefully OK and going veggie will help and stopping eating out except on high days and holidays

    Have a good day all

It's a wobbly old journey but with your family on board and all supporting it'll work out.

:rotfl: I will Tilly I will!!

OH making bug hotels at the moment out of offcuts and bamboo canes. Enjoying the garden despite the chill. Tea rather than Rose though I am afraid!! Just got lots of YS food and used my £25 off a grocery shop from being a Coop member. Was tempted to go for a cheeky pint as it's just me and OH today... but resisted...

Thanks for popping by. Hope alls good with you all xx

New flat rate calculation, by any chance? Our quarter ends this weekend, so I've got 2 months at old rate and one month under new scheme - will calculate if new flat rate or 'traditional' calculation works best for us. Accountant has suggested traditional but I want to check, as they have become very lazy of late and I have not been impressed with their service for over a year now - time to investigate a new one, methinks :(

Hope OH got the bed sorted - must've been a right shock at 2am!

:rotfl:.... yep bed is well and truly fixed..albeit a bit creaky... quite glad to be off the futon, it was OK for a few nights but a proper mattress is nicer :)

Had a wonderful afternoon with friends and neighbours yesterday..indoor BBQ as it was so darn cold. Very sociable with people just popping in and about. I love my neighbourhood :)

    Today:

Need to do a small shop for tiny things for DD's birthday
Update sig and targets and really focus hard on being frugal
Peg out and do laundry (channelling Alice :))
Make dinner and maybe make a cake if I fancy it (OH will make the birthday cake in the week so it's fresh)
    Exercise class
Make a list of DIY chores with OH
Prep for short week at work :)

Rest of time I plan to relax and maybe even watch a film :)

Have a great day folks x
