It does indeed use geo IP just the same if you tye in the address bar https://www.google.com you will go to the site https://www.google.co.uk also clicking the links will do the same.

I get @gmail.com addresses all the time and about 1% is @googlemail.com.

Your thoughts are wrong as said above in all of my posts its clearly explained I think YOU have missed how Gmail works and how the intergration of smtp and pop and copyright were all made into one family, just because you get 1% of email from googlemail.com does not mean every sender has gmail.com as it depends on recipients pop settings and how it was initially set up. :rolleyes:0 -
What are you on about when did I say about senders. I said about setup getting @gmail.com and then 1% of @googlemail.com
I understand why google stoped the gmail service in the UK, UK company had a email system called gmail so google changed it to googlemail for UK users.
I would say read more into the posts rather then trying to make other posters look stupid.0 -

Im not making you look stupid at all and I feel sorry for you if thats what you thought and for people reading posts, jeez I dont even think you read one of mine or the link I provided I can tell your upset so I wont post any more information on the subject as its falling on "deaf ears"0
