Car Parking Partnership

Options
Hey all,
I have been reading through many posts about what to do with my situation and have been relatively at ease about the whole thing until recently.
I park at the university of bath and have a parking permit however I was a bit slow in renewing the thing so in keeping with some quota or whatever I received a yellow envelope asking for money. The initial sum was £60. I have ignored many "official" looking letters but recently received a blue notice of legal proceedings from ICC legal services with a new request of £72.
So I was fine holding my ground until this point because I really can't be arsed with legal action. Am I still safe holding my ground? I just now my luck ... I will be the one they make an example of haha.

Thanks in advance!

P.s. - Where does the DVLA get off giving information to these places? Surely my address is personal and can't be given away without permission? (I'm assuming this was in the paperwork I signed to drive)

Carry on ignoring. Anybody can buy an address for £2.50 from the DVLA (which is nice to know if you drive a Ferrari and somebody fancies finding out where it's kept at night).

The good thing is that the PPCs also can't be arsed with legal action (because they know they'll lose), so you needn't worry about that. Just ignore the whole thing.

There is legislation which basically exempts the DVLA from the Data Protection Act and pretty much allows them to play fast and loose with your personal data. Good to know that your data which you have no choice in handing over to the DVLA is in such safe hands, isn't it? :(

I have received a Pink Notice of Legal Proceedings from I.C.C. Legal Services (UK) Limited in the past couple of days.
(relates to a Civil Parking Notice issued by Car Parking Partnership on 07th November 2012)

Can I ask Zeroscope, did you receive any more letters after your intial blue one in Post 1 of this thread?

They've been using that letter chain since at least 2011:

Nowt to worry about and if any PPC does ever try an actual small claim you'd receive real papers from Northampton and could defend the scam charge and win. All the time you are just getting the bog standard letters you can keep filing them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
