Pixmania help needed with refund

Hi hoping someone can help me.
I purchased a razor spark DLX scooter for my DS order made on 19th September 2011. It developed a fault so I contacted them on 25th November when I noticed the fault (a front wheel that no longer lit up). So from delivery to reporting fault about 2 months.
I had to send the item back (still waiting for refund of postage from them!). They have said it can't be repaired so have credited my pix account with £53. I paid £62 including postage.
My first question is should my refund amount be including postage...I believe it should?
2nd question I am trying to get them to give me a refund on my credit card as the item isn't in stock so I need to buy a new one elsewhere. This is their reply to me today.
Thank you for your email.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
You ask for a refund into your credit account rather than your pixpiggy one.
Further to your email, we regret to inform you that we can not proceed with your request since you have returned the item under the after sales repair motif.
In this case, you have only the possibility to be refunded into your pixpiggy bank since the item is not repairable.
I have seen a reply from a pixmania moderator on a different forum that states they abide by UK law so surely they should!!
Can anyone help with my problem  Thanks in advance
