  • Cally, that's exactly what we thought. My friend challenged them and they keep just copying and pasting "it's in the T&Cs" over and over again. Very, very dodgy.

The words "medicine" and "medical" don't appear in T+Cs

Woohoo are operated by Newcastle Marketing Services Ltd so that's someone else to complain to/about

I've just come back to this thread as I've tried to redeem my stars for the amazon voucher, I know you should read the t&c's but I wonder how many people do that for a free site.
The very personal id they ask for is ridiculous.
Has anyone had any joy complaining to Newcastle Marketing services?
I for one won't send them copies of such highly sensitive information, I expect there's lots of players like me.

I've been told that they need passport, driving license or birth certificate & 2 proofs of name address, utility bill & bank statement for instance.
Not anything about an EU card.
The amount of id they ask for is ridiculous, I'm sure that a lot of people will be like me & not redeem them & leave the site.
If I'd won £30k I would expect it but not for £20 voucher that they emai to your registered with them email address.
I just wanted to warn others who like me won't give people enough information to use their identities.
  • Something similar happened to me. They want too much ID, and there's no way I'd send a copy of my passport AND driving licence to any organisation such as this. They are clearly putting up barriers to stop people claiming prizes in my view.

I won't send anybody all that info, it's bloody annoying after using the site for over a year & finally getting enough stars to cash out, only to find that I can't unless I give them all this personal info.
In their t&c's they don't state that they will want everything bar your knicker size, just that from time to time they will ask you to verify your identity.
Lots of people must be like us, leave the site without claiming their vouchers.

The annoying thing is that you have to register, probably with your name & address, certainly with your email address.
The amazon voucher will be emailed to that address, so do they really think people will log in daily for months just to steal £20?
I've been emailing & got absolutely nowhere, they keep on reiterating that I should have read the t&c's, it states in them that they can ask you to validate your id at any time, etc etc. Funny how they don't ask you to validate until you've finally got enough points for the voucher.
It was getting me too stressed out & annoyed to continue questioning them, I hope your friend gets hers.
I don't know if you need to prove your id for lesser valued rewards.
  • can someone give me an idea on how long it's going to take me (more or less) to actually win a cash voucher?
