If you are having a civil ceremony you have to confirm your details with the registrar. In our case the registrar has asked OH to be there about 30 minutes early so he can do it before I arrive and then I will arrive before 1pm to confirm details. Therefore the guests should arrive about 30 minutes or so before the ceremony so they are not all dashing in and looking at the bride!

I have no idea how it works at a Church wedding though!

Ah right, thanks sugarwalsh, I wonder if we can confirm the details earlier in the day together or if it has to be just before the ceremony. I'm not bothered about people seeing me before the 'actual' wedding though so that part doesn't matter to us.

It's a mindfield really, you think you have it sorted then someone mentions something and it's like............urrrmmmm what do you mean confirm the details.......... :rotfl:

    Thanks for that though.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I think it is directly before the ceremony, and yes, you can do it together. Well, you can with our registrar. I suspect if you talk to yours they will let you know what you have to do.

  • We put the time the ceremony started. Most people have the common sense to be there early - any you are worried about (we had a couple) we spoke to them beforehand and told them to get there early to get parked etc x
