New Home - New Utility Providers Required
Hi there, Happy New Year All...
We will be buying our first home in the next month and need some advice on utlity providers.
As a new customer are there any special offers or experiences people can share about what to look out for - good or bad?
We live in the Luton Area (LU3)...
Thanks,
Simmms

This house will already have Elec, ( & Gas ? ), supplier to whom you will be contracted the the moment you sign the House Purchase documents.
On the day you move in, phone them to report your occupation and give them the meter readings -
This supplier will log you as a "New" account and put you onto an expensive 'Standard' tariff, but from that point forward you can Switch to another supplier, with the change over taking appx 6 weeks
To get the best from the Switch sites you have to enter your annual Gas/Elec consumptions in Kwh, which you will not know.
Ask the encumbant provider what these figures were for the previous occupier and use these on the Switch sites0 -
And then sign up via a cashback site to maximise your benefits. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
