It is possible, but only if you pass the credit check. The may ask you to put down a deposit of £150 or so, which is refundable after 12m.
And there may be a charge of around £50 for each meter change.

    Hi sithmaster,

We have guidelines that we need to stick to when removing PP meters, I can give you the general rules here.

In the first instance you need to have lived in your property and been with E.ON for 12 months if you rent, we will charge around £51 if we do remove the meter, this is to cover the cost of the appointment.

You would need to pay future bills by monthly DD.

We would perform an external credit check.

We may ask you to pay a deposit.

We have a department that deal with removing PP meters so you can give us a call and ask for the specific details to you.

I would just add if we installed the PP meter to collect a debt it would be highly unlikely that we would remove this, but again it all depend on the individual circumstances.

British Gas have a pass or fail for the credit vet. If you fail there is now no option to pay a security deposit. This changed a couple of weeks ago.
