Nice to see NCP encourage their employees to commit misconduct in public office.

Good job they aren't on commission only. oops have I given the sharks at NCP an idea.

NSL and NCP were once the same company however now they are not. They legally demerged a few years back however I think NSL may still be part of the National Parking Group or whatever the parent company is called.

I know you are right but should not a great part of a ceo's job to be keeping the traffic flowing, at least that's what councils tell us, telling someone to shift is far more in the spirit of the job, not moneymaking.

    Thats exactly right.

I've worked for 2 councils as a CEO and both operated like this - keep it flowing. I heard a rumour one had been turned over to a contractor for its on street enforcement and that it had made things a lot worse. No idea if its true but i know that particular authority was looking at setting a target of 11 PCNs a day a while back though that was before Brown banned the ticket targets (probably the only good thing he did whilst in power).

the whole thing is against international law "summary justice" judgement and sentence by authority with no process of law , the human rights act "no punishment without crime" + the magna carter, no forfeiture without judgement.

But I bet the targets still exist, councils use parking enforcement as a large revenue making operation, I bet if there was some rule that stated that any monies raised from ticketing goes straight into a large pot in central governement (the council seeing nothing from that pot) ticketing will decrease.

The more money raised from ILLEGAL parking, goes towards keeping the Council tax lower, whats wrong with that.?

If you actually believe that maybe you shoul have a look a how much councils pay their Chief Executives .

It's not illegal parking for the vast majority of councils as they are operating under the decriminalised parking regime.

Furthermore over 60% of councils tickets appealed are over turned..maybe because the rush to issue and grab your cash over rides the duty to issue properly and fairly ..says it all really.
