    So how are Barclay's 'getting it right' by processing SOs on the 2nd - which was a Bank Holiday!
    Barclays paid my standing orders correctly on Tuesday 3rd January, which was not a bank holiday, but the first banking day after the scheduled payment date of 1st January. For the OP, Lloyds waited an additional working day without good reason and paid his standing order on Wednesday 4th January. Lloyds made an error; Barclays did not.
