Roof repair

We got quoted £60 to replace a roof tile and fix a piece of dry verge back to the roof. He also said for any more tiles it would be £5 whilst he was up there fixing it.

Is this fair?

Sounds fair to me. Is this someone you contacted or a cowboy who knocked on your door to tell you have a missing tile?

I contacted them. I think I found them on yell or 192.com. I can't fully remember because i tried loads of numbers, only a few answered my call and then only 1 came to do the quote and I'm desperate to get it done before anything else falls off.

You have to take into account petrol expenses to get there (if hes not very local) at 60 quid it seems reasonable to me, I had a roofer check my lead flashing he stuck a bit down took him 5 mins in all and he charged me 30!!

Sounds very fair to me - I've just had a cowboy knock on my door saying he was working in the street and noticed I need a tile replacing quoted that it would normally be £150 but could do it for £120
