Morning all.

I know lots of people recommend the Ikea Antilop high chair here so thought I would give people this heads up. I have one that is affected so it might affect many others here too.

I have received this email from Ikea today, saying they are recalling some of their Antilop high chairs as there is a problem with some of the belts.

Safety is always a top priority at IKEA.

The high chair belt can open unexpectedly in use, creating a fall hazard. IKEA has received eight reports of the belt opening, including three resulting in minor injury when a child fell from the high chair. The ANTILOP high chair is available in three colours: white, red and blue.

As you have purchased the ANTILOP high chair from us, we kindly ask you to check the supplier number and production number moulded into the underside of the seat.

If the supplier number is #17389 and the production date is in the range 0607-0911 (YYMM) please visit the Exchange & Returns department in-store or contact IKEA Customer Services on 0845 358 3364 to receive a replacement belt, free of charge.

No other high chairs are affected. IKEA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

Oh no, I would hate for people not to get this chair because of this recall. I have loved mine for two kids, they are brilliant. What a shame.
