Just purchased a 3 seat-er from Ikea for about £300. Quality is ok and for that price you can buy a new one when the kids stop spilling juice over it.

We went local, small independant retailer, got an Italian Leather 3 a 2 and a 1 for under £1500 with 12 months interest free credit (no catch), have a look at the smaller shops there are bargains to be had.

I know people dont like DFS but we bought our leather suite : 5 seater corner sofa, 1 chair ,1 poufee from there in June 2005 for £1500

It still looks like new and we have had no problems with it ( apart from it almost not being able to fit in through the fornt door !! lol )

    I love my sofa :D
  • I'm waiting for a delivery of my new suite from CSL, they quoted 11 weeks at the beginning of November.... we are still waiting :( So I would say stay clear of them!
  • In laws bought a 3 and a 2 seater from (I think it's called) Furniture Village in Notts, but I think they are nationwide. Cost them about £1500 and is lovely.

One thing they advised them was that when you shop around make sure the whole thing is leather cos some stores just put faux leather sides and or backs on their suites.

I recently bought a new 3 seater sofa in chocolate brown from Harveys. It's lovely quality and the delivery quoted was 8 weeks but it was delivered within 2!

    Just bought from M&S...love it.

Only problem was we had to remove the double glazing unit to get it into the house!
