haven thorpe park or primrose valley

Hi

Did anyone go to Haven Thorpe Park or Primrose Valley last year?

What do you think of these parks?

i am looking for recommendations for the pools in particular at these sites....

i am tempted by Thorpe park and the lazy river - we went to Presthaven Sands last year and the kids loved the lazy river.... i am guessing Thorpe Parks will be similar... the only downside to Thorpe park i can see is there is no outdoor pool so if the weather was warm.... not sure i would want to be in an indoor pool...but i guess the lazy river goes outdoors? can you sit near by and watch your kids in it?

any opinions on these parks welcome

thanks

  • Primrose Valley is there flagship Park in the north, so would guess that it is better than Thorpe Park.

Personally I have only been to Thorpe Park and Mablethorpe & Blackpool much preferred Mabletorpe out of the 3. In fact the only thing I like more about Thorpe Park was the direct access to the beach.

thanks for you input - did you see the pool complex at Thorpe Park - it looks great in the pictures but would like some more opinions from those who have been...

We have been to Mabblethorpe and whilst we loved the beach the pool was a little small and had very long queues to get into it if you did not go first thing ....

Mabblethorpe was our first ever Haven and we have been back to many since so it must have been ok for us;)

    thanks

  • we visited primrose valley in june last year, my 3 children loved it, the pools especially. They are reasonable sized never had to que to get in. we didnt use the outside one as it was abit chilly there is also a 3rd pool in the main club house where all the water sports take place didnt make it to that 1 as my children are too young but looked good as we were passing. We are going back in june again the activities and night entertainment is great, we did everything from arts and crafts...exploring...cooking it was great :-D
