Should I sell my car and lease instead?
Is there an advantage to a private car lease?
Cars are continueously depreciating and losing us money and if like me you are paying out £300 pcm for a loan that's going to last another 2 years, why not lease on a contract for 2, 3, or 4 years and get a brand new car?
What are the pros and cons to car leasing? Help please

Whether you lease or buy out right you are paying for depreciation.
At least with buying , from cash or a loan, you will own after the loan ends. Leasing you have paid the depreciation and then give it back.
If you want a new car every 3 years and can afford it, leasing might be the way to go.
But you can't escape that you're are paying for the depreciation.

The cost of 1 years lease should see something reliable and shiny enough to show off and last 3 to 4 years
without major costs.
If you must have the latest reg shiny wallet emptyer parked outside then go for a lease vehicle.
How much a month are you looking at spending? 2005 i bought a 2001 mondeo petrol for £2000, Cost about £600
in parts and servicing. Sold in 2009 for £900. I needed an estate otherwise i would still have it.
Bought a 2004 mondeo estate diesel for £2300. Now this ones a money pit, I cannot work on it myself for health reasons
but in the 2 years i have had it its cost me £650. Parts and labour. All new brakes so i expect them to last longer than i will
keep it.
Knew i should have bought another petrol car, They are more reliable these days.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
