what's wrong with people wishing someone should lose thier job over what could have been a simple mistake!

the world is a nasty place! made so by the people who live in it!

I was joking. I think the reaction to a simple mistake is OTT.

Even an mot station can't hold the car, no matter how unroadworthy it is, or what it fails on.

They can if you intend to drive it away as driving a dangerous vehicle is a crime and section 3(1) of the Criminal Law Act 1967 states that: "A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime..."

could have turned up with a tow truck, the option want given to the OP, they said they were keeping it, not its dangerous we'll give you a lift home and you have to arrange a tow from your insurers or yourself to collect it and take to place of repair.

the OP had to catch a bus home then return with someone, to wich they admitted a miscommunication was formed between receptionist and body shop.

basically trying to pull a fast one wich didnt work in their case.

no one has the right to keep a vehicle or take it away if they do not own it.
