Hi there
If you could manage to find the account number, it makes matters easier for them to send all the data of the accounts you taken out with them, and they will then send all copies of paperwork in regards of the account which may help your complaint.
To try tracking down an account number, you can do so by checking bank statements, from your bank account where you repaid the direct debits of the loan, if your still with the same bank, and have online banking, this may allow you to go back to about 2002 approx.
The account number is generally shown next to the monthly loan repayment.
However, just as long as you have the account number and sure you were paying for ppi and have a reason to make a reclaim, you can continue to make a reclaim/complaint without waiting for the paperwork.
Many have been successful even without paperwork, hope this helps, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
