Car repair not done properly

We had the timing belt replaced on our Skoda Octavia in November. Over Christmas the belt started making a whining noise, so today OH went to take it back to the garage to see what they can do, but the garage has closed down. Spoke to the neighbouring business and they said the garage had cleared all their equipment out 23rd Dec and they hadn't been seen since.
OH took car to another garage to have them have a look at the car, and they said the first garage have put the wrong belt on. It's going to cost another £180 for the right belt and kit, plus labour for fitting it.
Is there anything we can do? We don't even know if the 1st garage has gone bust, or just closed down or what.

Get car repaired and then start digging up information on the other garage. I suspect unless you are very lucky they will be long gone.0
