Travel Insurance - That might pay out ?

Last year i visited Portugal with the girlfriend and we had to claim travel insurance after getting mugged.
The company we used was insureandgo they where a nightmare to make a claim with and we soon found out allot of items where not covered.
Can anyone recommend a decent company for travel insurance, it doesn’t have to the cheapest but it has to provide good cover.
The destination is New York and the trip is 1 week long.
All help will be very much appreciated.
I have tried moneysupermarket.co.uk and they have policies from £24 but I doubt these companies would provide decent cover.

Read the small print very carefully to find out what is and is not covered.
If you make a genuine claim with all the required supporting documents, virtually any company will pay out. And few if any companies will pay for things that are excluded in their small print, like cash and valuables.0 -

I agree with this 100%
I am trying to find a company that has a fair small print with decent cover.0
