Help I dont know where to start!!

Hi

Can you help! I had finance with Yes Car Credit which started in July 2005 until Aug 2009. I paid it direct debit which was to a company Direct Auto Finance.

I paid PPI and motor breakdown insurance and think i may be entitled to claim these back but have no idea where to begin!

If anyone can help i'd appreciate alittle advice!

I was going to use one of the PPI reclaim compainies but they take upto 30% fee!! Can you advice on these companies also??

My husband also had a loan with Lloyds Tsb and Blackhorse, I have notice these companies also mis sold PPI, he has no paperwork to back this up and is no longer with Lloyds TSB - does anyone know how he would go about making a claim?

Thanks for all your help!!

If you have reasons for mis sell

Send a claim to Yes car credit.

You need to send a SAR (this will cost you £10) asking for all info they hold on your hubby

If the loans were a long time ago they may not find any details,so hang fire with the SAR until you have been into a local branch and asked them to find him.

If therse loans were by DD you could ring your bank and ask if they can find any DD that was for lloyds.
  • Do you have contact details for Yes car credit? I think they has closed down and have been unable to contact them with the number and address I initially had!

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there

I cannot advise you enough to re claim!

I got back £800 from Natwest on a loan I had out around 8 years ago and my husband got back £17,000 from HSBC!!! This all a month before Christmas!!

Write off the template letters and wait around 12 weeks for a response. They may say no but then you just send another letter- no need to go through a claims company, all the forms you need are on Martain's site! Its really easy.

Don't worry about not having paper work or going into the bank- if you have your loan number on the form they have to look into it.

Also suggest you send by recorded delivery so you can track it.

    Good luck, hope you're successful!
