Slightly off topic I think, but:

    a) can I get away with wearing these on the ward on placement ?
    b) i'm a bloke... can I have them too?

    1) Don't see why not - they are perfect for nurses (Is this what you mean?)
    2) Of course! :T There was a guy in Sainsburys on Saturday wearing the bright green with jeans and a t-shirt - and very snazzy he looked too!

    Skint_Catt,

    1) yes! I'm hopefully starting mental health nursing in September and I've been warned about the need for comfortable shoes - ideal for chasing after patients etc... :)
    2) thank heaven's for that! hehehe :)

    and

    3) does one wear Crocs with or sans socks? :)

Aneclair - yes go for them then! Lots of chasing!

Personally I wouldn't wear socks with mine, though I do know some people wear socks with their caymans. www.taylorshoes.com actually sell Crocs socks!

aneclair you can get what they call Professional Crocs (I think) where they have no holes on the top just the sides so if anything drops on your foot you won't be damaged!

Check out taylorshoes.com for the full range.

Someone was telling me yesterday they bought a pair of Crocs in a big shoe shop in Chester and ALL the staff were wearing them including the guy who served her :)

Hi all, back from Florida now and what a bother I had finding REAL Crocs! There are crocalikes everywhere but not as many stores with the real ones, surprisingly.

Just in case it helps anyone who's going on holiday there, Beales stores do them with quite a good colour choice and Journeys stores sell them too but neither of the two branches of Journeys I was in had much choice. There's also a posh looking shop (it's not inside) just at the start of Universal Studios which had stock as well as jibbitz that weren't Disney for a change! I'm sure there are other places that do them but I don't know where.

I met a couple from England in JC Penny's who were looking for Crocs too and it was them that told me where best to look for the real ones. Small world. We wondered if the stores were waiting for new stocks coming in, especially since new colours are coming out.

I did manage to come home with [STRIKE]loads[/STRIKE] a few new pairs. :o Including some jazzy Disney ones. :D They averaged $29.99 which is around £15 depending where you change your money.

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not and I'm still jetlagged so I'm not checking, lol, but the crocs made in Boulder, Colorado are the largest fitting, the ones made in Canada are slightly smaller and the ones made in China are smaller still. I take a medium in the beach range and didn't know why there was so much difference in the size until I had an interesting discussion with a very helpful and knowledgeable sales guy. My China ones are pretty neat on me and the Boulder ones are perfect so I'll know next time which ones to go for if I have the choice.
