Bought my first pair of crocs on ebay, caymans, fuschia colour and got some jibbitz to go with it, technically i got them free as i sold stuff on ebay, then used the money from that:D

Bought a size 6 so cant wait til it arrives, hope they fit, will also be getting more in orlando when we go.

ds1 has also said he would like some crocs, he is 8, be good for his feet as he has diabetes, so would be good for when we go to florida!:j

  • Just be careful about buying without trying on as the sizes are crazy. I bought a pair last weekend and tried on loads in different shops all made in different places (all CROCS) the China ones were smallest, Italy on the large side and they all feel slightly different on your feet! I ended up with a pair from Romania which are supposedly a womens size 8, I'm a 5-6!!
I paid £29.99 from Sole, they were the same price in all the shops in the Trafford centre so seems quite standard.
Well recommended though, very comfortable, like walking around legitimately in your slippers!!
    Happy shopping!!

You would be an 8. US sizes are 2 sizes bigger than UK sizes. Didn't know they had a Romanian factory... are you sure? Mexico, Canada, China, Italy yes... Romania never heard of it! They're definitely Crocs & have made in Romania on the bottom? You learn something new every day.

Yes, they're Caymans, I was amazed myself, they also say "Boulder- Colorado" on the bottom, my CROC expert friend was with me and was also surprised! Amazingly my mother is on her way home from Romania where she's been outreaching to the Romany Gypsy community and will probably be most unimpressed with my purchase...
Thanks for clearing up the size confusion, that makes sense. What is it with the US, bigger shoes smaller clothes!!

Where on the Crocs does it say Romania? Is it on the sole as well as Boulder - Colorado?

I got my off road crocs from taylors today. I think they are a little short though as my toes are touching the front. Am i right in saying that this shouldn't happen?

I ordered a UK6 but I'm really a UK6.5. Might Ebay them and order UK7 in the hope that they won't be too big!!

No your toes shouldn't toucch the fronts (having said that I know people who do wear their crocs smaller than advised wiht great sucess-you could try stretching them (see the post about warming themin the dryer).

Personally I wear a small beach and am on my 2nd pair- the new pair were loads smaller than the first and initially rubbed the top of my foot- I wore them with socks for a bit and they have grown a shade and are fine now..(the med beach or even 6 cayman were huge!)

I'm a guy usually size 14/15 shoes. I've found the size 13s ok but on getting them (Relief Crocs) I've discovered all my toes on my right foor are curved downwards! I'll mention this to the podiatrist, I reckon this is another raculous thing. I also got some size 14-15 beach crocs( I can only assume are 13-14 UK) and they are brilliant but same problem with right toes.

DO NOT BUY CROCS WITH YOU HAVE LOTS OF VERRUCAE. It is a bit sore but by the end of the day I'll know if they are ok or not.

Also, in the relief croc there is a VERY clinical smell due tot he anti-microbial and potentially the positively charged silver ion paricles set in them.

    I like the crocs anyway.
If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd sing you a morning golden and new.
I would make this day last for all time,
Give you a night deep with moonshine.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Crocs and Birkenstock?

I've had a quick flick through the thread but haven't got time to read 31 pages properly, sorry if someone's asked this before!

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question properly but I'll give it a shot! Definitely hasn't been asked on this thread before.

Birkenstocks are mainly leather/suede/nubuck mules or clogs with a shaped footbed. Crocs are croslite rubber shoes in many styles (the main one is clogs here but loads of others in the US) which are shaped to massage the feet slightly as you walk with a shaped footbed full of little nodes. They also mould to your feet slightly as your feet warm them up. Both are comfortable but I find Crocs more so.
