O2 Contract from 2007 [URGENT HELP]
Comments

Thats what I have been trying to do with them obviously I am due some of the money as I did use the contract not just the full amount.
I have told them the whole way through I would pay what I was due. I had actually forgot all about it as they never wrote to me.
So are you saying you stopped paying the contract after this bill was generated?
I really wish you would answer the questions being posed to you.
You came here for help and you're not really helping us to help you.0 -
No direct debit was not setup I phoned up and paid the bills over the phone.0

so you carried on paying the bills after this one? Was your contract term completed? Or was this say month 13 and you had 11 to go?
Did they cut you off after you didn't pay this bill?0 -
I had 2 month remaining on my contract, I am willing to pay them the 2 month I had remaining and part of the bill they are saying i am due as the bill went up to 550 with the 2 months line rental remaining my average bills every other month were 350

I'm still not understanding how it got to such a high amount?
And you didn't have 2 months remaining on the contract. You had 2 months left before you were entitled to cancel the contract after the minimum term had expired. If you didn't cancel it it would have kept going accruing your line rental each month until they cancelled it when the debt got too high.0 -

So you didnt pay the charge, and then you didnt pay the remaining two months of a contract term?!
And because you didn't advise them to cancel the contract after 12 months it would have continued till the debt got too much and was disconnected.
You basically pretend it didn't exist fundamentally. And by waiting this long the debt would have only got greater. I would imagine by now that trying to save your credit rating is also going to be difficult especially as the debt collector has you acknowledging the debt is yours (not directly, but by default).
Really not sure what to suggest, I can't actually believe they need to prove it given you have two charges after the first...normal monthly usage really doesn't matter I am afraid.0 -
op thinking about it...did you use the phone again at anypoint in the two months after the large bill amount?0
