If you are reasonably good with numbers, check out the GIOL board - start by thoroughly reading and understanding the introductory guide.
In true MSE style, there's enormously helpful people on GIOL so you won't be left alone - but you need to have the drive and determination to do it systematically and quickly.
Realistically, you can now make max around 1K in 6 weeks, may be £2K in 10 - 12 weeks. It depends a lot on what your available cashflow is, though. You also need to invest a fair bit of your time, say half the Saturday and a couple of hours during the week.
Best of luck getting your money together - sounds an opportunity of a lifetime and is well worth putting some extra work in for!0 -
You have been going at it really hard. So well done and good luck ;-)0

It appears that I should go for the one year working visa @ £180.00 and as part of the BFs temp business visa after 6 months of living together I can be added on his as a secondary applicant for the remainder of the 4 years. Handy idea for if the contract over runs. Many thanks. I will check out the boards tomorrow when I'm eating my packed lunch
:-)
Are you sure its that much? I'm sure I only paid 110 when I got mine but I guess it may have increased. Get it direct from the governments website, not an agency.
Remember a tourist visa is free, that could be a good stop gap. Though I believe you'd have to leave the country to apply for the work visa if you want it later (good excuse for a trip to New Zealand though!)0 -

I'm not completely sure to be honest. As part of my partners salary package he has negotiated that the company who his company have employed to sort his visa out sort mine out too (paid by his company) so at least this is one less thing to stress about. My partner has agreed to pay for my visa and my flight over there so no need to worry about this for now. Got the 180 from the link posted above by brizza. Very useful information.
My uncle's from New zealand so be grat to go and visit.
Did you get a working/holiday visa for 12 months? Any issues with getting work do companies not like it because can only work 6 months??SammieTarget 9 Stone by June 2012 : Current Weight 10 st 8lbs :jTarget £9072.65 by June 2012: Current £5810.96Target Smoke Free: Started 1st January 2012 - Smoke Free so far :T
