Hoover Trouble Shooting

I have just tried to ask this question on a website and they wanted me to PAY for a response! Anyone out there got a Hoover Rush Pets - TCR4237 vacuum cleaner? The performance of mine is poor and I clean the filters too regularly for my liking. The pipework is clear and the unit is only 2 years old. Would anyone advocate replacing the filters? I am unsure as to the life expectancy of them. Any advice is very welcome as my other half wants to buy a Dyson Ball and do away with this Hoover altogether - obviously being a fan of this website I would rather not part with too much of my hard earned cash..... Thanks in advance

There has been an ongoing discussion about pet vacuum cleaners on the 'In my home' MSE forum.
The general consensus seems to be, avoid Dyson.
