Laptops direct......

ok im having serious problems with this company.....i bought a laptop including full pre checks and a boot disk and a 3 year warranty on 29th jan i also payed for premium delivery.....so the lap top would be delivered on the 31st ..the courier failed to deliver on said date and took the lap top back to there base...i rang laptops direct to tell them this had happened and was told that "of course he tried to deliver why wouldnt he"
I was then told i couldnt get any more help basically till the following tuesday i then imbued my distant selling regs right and was told that all moneys APART from delivery cost would be refunded and that the order had been canceled i argued that i wasnt going to pay for a service i hadnt recieved i was told to contact the courier myself to argue the point....UNNACCEPTABLE ....now it gets really good......
Ok so on tues 3rd jan i rang laptops direct to confirm i had been fully reinbursed...i was told that my order was being dispatched as we spoke from my local courier service and that every thing was ok.....ok fine...i rang the couriers and they said they had lost said package and didnt know where it was and would ring me back......missed the delivery again i had to drive 15 miles to collect said package...ok i really wanted this laptop top of the range badboy!!...
Finally got the package home....and now this is where it gets REALLY interesting...i opened said laptop and fired it up full of anticipation and excitment ...only to be let down once again the model should have an all singing all dancing back lit keyboard display...it didnt...rang laptops direct to be told that they would contact Tech support and get back to me..thankfully after 3 calls back to laptops direct i managed to get the number for zuumedia which came with the package for 1 month free the technician was online with me for 3 full hours because firstly the laptop would not connect to the internet then when we fixed the problem he asked me if i was sure this model had a backlit keyboard.."well the invoice says it does the delivery note says it does" well sir im afraid it doesnt...
laptops direct have sent me a totally different laptop to the one i had ordered that is valued at 1100 i payed 1600 pounds all in for pre check which apparently should guarentee all is in order and working AND the right model .3 years extended warranty and a boot disk that arrived as a 3 blanks disks with nothing written on them a laptop i didnt order and had various other things missing....im ringing them again tommorrow to enforce my distant selling reg and demand a full refund all consumers should be aware of this company and steer well clear

29th Jan? Unless that's a typo you're WAY past your DSR returns period.
But if what you say is true (and you actually meant 29th Dec) then you also have rights of return under SOGA - what they have sent is not what was ordered, hence sold not as described. In such a case THEY also pay for it to be returned.0 -
