EXPIRED Boots Vitamins Discount Error

I can't believe this is still working - there are three branches of Boots that are vaguely on my way home, I'll be calling into all three after work. I might end up with a stupid quantity of vitamins though - I already have 18 pots, that coulld easily become a lot more if the stock levels are there!0

Does anyone know when the offer does finish? After a dissapointing effort this morning at Peterlee when the SA queried the price and wouldn't allow the sale, I then went to Seaham this afternoon where there where loads of vitamins but no shots so left empty handed again:(
I'm off to the Metrocentre tomorrow so hopefully I'll manage to get some then, fingers crossed...0 -
evening everyone
ball$ed this up today, was in a total rush in my 5 second lunch break and picked up 11 of the shots, oh well managed 12 yesterday:D
don't seem to be restocking up on the cheapo vits in my local though
tip-if no shots on the shelf, ask the SA to check, mine found stacks downstairs, i really don't like the taste of them so didn't go mad for a change:AGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
A massive thanks to the OP thought i may have missed this, but went into boots at liverpool st station and managed to find the remaining 5 shots! Left 2 for others, very very nice SA's who seemed to know all about the glitch and couldnt wait to tell me. Very lovely people and i now have a nice stock of multivits, excellent since OH not feeling well and we literally just ran out of vits this morning. :-)0

OMG is this still working. My local had plenty of shots but no cheap drugs and there is no self scan0

I managed to get six of these today, but very nearly didn't. The SA put the vits and shots through and then pressed subtotal before putting through my P&P cream. She was very confused at the minus amount and asked the other close SAs what to do. She voided the transaction and then I suggested she put the cream through first
. She still wasn't convinced when I had to pay less than 2 quid for the whole lot but I had to get back to work and told her so. She shrugged and let me pay.
Moral of the story: if you can't use SS tills hand over the extra items first before the vits and shots!
It's only a game

I tried just 3 shots & 3 vitamins as it was my first attempt & there was no self scan - added shave gel for 1.05 & some reduced apricots for 20p - the shave gel is decent value as its close to supermarket prices (no half price 64p shave gel in stock unfortunately)
My total came to 77p so the sales assistant started looking thru the receipt as she thought she had missed scanning something
When she saw all the items had scanned she decided to let the transaction go through saying '... Im not going to question it...' - she was quite young so obviously not the trout type
To be honest it is somewhat of a hassle & a bit embarassing when the total to pay is low & they start puzzling over the receipt
Unfortunately the only way to avoid this without self scan is to buy quite a few more items but that sort of defeats the objective of making a decent saving i.e. the more you buy the less the overall % saving
ANybody know how you can find out where the nearest self scan stores are ?0 -

I totally agree with you. I took advantage of this on Day 1 and Day2 - total of (3+6+6) and whilst it is lovely to get the bargain, I find it embarassing and feel guilty when questioned. I would happily self serve though!0 -

I would only buy the items I would have bought anyway so I'm not spending anything I wouldn't normally spend.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but my total should have been £9 ish and was charged £3.59 after the discount but I got advantage card points for a £9 purchase! Even more for free!!:TLearn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -

Unfortunately Im the wrong gender - everthing I 'need' is usually more expensive at bootsbecause its mostly tesco value or asda smartprice toiletries that I normally buy - the only expensive brand I often buy is cordosyl but even thats £1.73 cheaper at asda
I doubt im going to try for any more unless the offer is still on when the 75% sale starts (or I can find a store with a self scanner)0
