No road tax for 3 months

Will the dvla continue to pursue someone for driving without tax AFTER they finally get a new disc some 3 months late? It wasn't an oversight, the driver made a financial decision not to pay the tax until they had money to pay it.

The answer is yes. If the car was untaxed and also not sorned then they can issue penalties to the registered keeper. If they have evidence that the vehicle was being used on the road then there could be seperate penalties for that too."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

I thought they would. They have issued several fines, some as a result of the car being seen by traffic camera's. However the car isn't at the registered address nor has it been stopped or caught on the road. So is it now just luck if they get pulled over?0

They do use ANPR and will drive around so if the car is found on the street then it can be clamped. In respect of the fines they have issued they can take court proceedings against the registered keeper."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

You mean the person was still driving the car around with no tax?
MSE rules say 'Be nice to all moneysavers' so I will be nice to you. But the person you are asking about is scum if they were driving an untaxed car.
:mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes they deliberately drove for over 3 months without tax. Taxed now which I'm surprised they were allowed to do but I imagine it's automated online.0

Are you sure it was insured at the time as insurance is dearer than tax?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

any insurance would have been null & void anyway if you don't have any tax wouldn't it?0

I wasn't to be honest - but now doubting myself someone
so it that not the case - always thought it was a condition on your insurance that your car be taxed etc?0 -

Eventually they will catch up with the driver of this vehicle, then the fines will probably be in the many hundreds, and they will get bailiffs etc involved, in which case they will take the car once found. Burying your head in the sand won't help, they should sort it now!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
