Looking to travel from Miami to Orlando in a few months. Was considering Greyhound but only reviews l can find of them are negative lol anybody had the pleasure of riding the Greyhound?
On a side note I'm planning a multi-trip around Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, & New York City. Any recommendations regarding sights and accommodations. Thanks.

Err...they're cheap...that's about the only really positive thing I can think of to say about Greyhound tbh
Really not the nicest way to travel and you do tend to get some rather "interesting" characters on board. You need to watch out for where the bus stations are too, especially if arriving late in the evening - not sure specifically about Orlando or Miami but in a lot of cities the Greyhound station will not be in the best of areas.
Is there any chance you could hire a car instead? Would be extremely useful at both ends of your Florida trip and it's a very easy drive, pretty much just straight up the turnpike...maybe 3-4 hours or so, it's a while now since we've done it.
Edit: Amtrak (train) would be another option, but I think I remember from looking into it once that the station in Miami is not very conveniently located. Might be worth looking into though depending on where you're staying.0 -
Greyhound from Biloxi MS to New Orleans sure scared the heck out of me
It was an 'experience'.
Not one to repeat.0 -
Be sure to take a look at Megabus US for cheap coach travel along the north east coast. You could use megabus for travel from Philly to New York City. Book early and you travel for a couple of dollars each.

Miami to Orlando - have a look at flight prices. If you have flexible dates, there are flights for about $70.
Americans use air travel like we use buses or trains.0 -
From Americans I've spoken to, Greyhound attracts a lot of vagrants, homeless, as they accept cash at ticket offices and longer journeys can be overnight. (I have no experience myself). Megabus tends to be more students and backpackers, as you can only book online.
Alternatively, there are a couple of Amtrak trains per day that travel between Miami and Orlando:

The Amtrak train costs $41.

I've used Greyhoud buses quite a bit in the States. Never had a problem with the people who use them. Although some of the stations have been in some less than nice locations.0

I've used them, was interesting.. and a bit scary... some characters on there for sure! Got offered drugs when stepping off in Chicago too before we had even picked our bags up...
If you like a bit of adventure on the cheap go for it!!0
