Hello wonderful people!! Happy new year! (i'm not drunk...honest)
I was hoping someone can advise....to cut a long story short, I went IKEA, bought some stuff and when i got home some of it (about £50 worth) of stuff was left behind.
What are the chances on getting the goods or money?
Would IKEA CCTV prove anything? Would this be of any benefit?
I don't want to go argue the toss, as it was my fault and doubt anyone has handed in the items
Thanks in advance.

give the store a call, they may have placed the goods to one side as i am sure someone would of noticed.0

My wife called them and they said they couldn't find the products in the lost property box, however the customer services guy did say to come in and argue - but i dont see how that will help?0

well visit the store and if you dont get anywhere ask to speak to the manager.
where did you leave them at checkout or in carpark0 -
Yeh, i've made my mind up to go see them
Any tips on what i need to mention/say without sound im in the wrong?
Left it in store. I was wrapping up some plates and putting in them in the provided boxes , i put the other stuff in a box whilst wrapping up the plates, must have forgotten to pick up!0 -
How are they missing, did you just not pack them in your car, leave them in the car park or at the tills.
Are you sure the items are on the receipt.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
if they were left in store it's unlikely they'd end up in lost property, more than likely back on the shelves. If that's the case then a quick stock take of the items 'should' show that you're telling the truth.0

Or if left on the packing table, pocketed by another customer.0 -
I work at IKEA and the policy is to check CCTV, it should take around a week. All items left at the checkouts should be logged by the service responsible at the time, so there should be a record of them being left. It's worth going in asking, you wouldn't believe how many people leave stuff behind after they've paid for it!0

Thanks all for your help!
Items were left in the packaging area in a box. IKEA staff took them in and logged them.
I went in today and got my money back.
Result.

All too easy to do! Especially when you're trying to remember (before leaving the shop) if there is anything you might have forgotten (ironically!).
Heck when my mum was a teen (many moons ago - not calling her old! just trying to give an idea that things were different then), she used to help her mum out regularly as her dad died when she was 15 and she was eldest of 6. She'd come back from shopping, gran would ask if she'd forgotten something. Mum would say, no i've got the milk, bread etc. Gran would then ask where her two little brothers were......Mum had left them outside the shop in their buggy/pram thing. On the brightside, the shop was just 2 minutes walk away and they (my uncles) are still here in one peice! You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
