Not sure if this is in the right section....and think it may just be a lesson learned :-(
A camera store (who were buying my 2nd hand camera equipment) arranged for parcelforce to collect my parcel from my parents house, to deliver to the camera store.
They must have been subcontracting ?? Over the xmas period, as a white van turned up as planned to pick up the parcel.
The next day, the same driver knocked on my parents door to say that the parcel had not had a delivery label on and we need to call parcelforce.
This was rubbish as the label covered the parcel, and you would have to open the parcel to detach it.
My elderly parents didnt think to get a receipt....big error, but they are 80.
So I called the bham depot and the guy said he just needed to update where it was to go. Not sure if he didnt know what he was doing, but he said it would go.
I put in my tracking ref and could see probs, so called them back.
They told me the parcel was never picked up.
I have no receipt and have written a letter.
Obviously without a receipt, I could be a crook.....but......
1. They say they didnt collect, but they must know who did that round....what excuse did he give ? He even came back next day.
2. Why did someone called Brian at bham delivery centre take a forwarding add and say all ok.
Am I up the creek on this ????

I had a similar problem I needed to return some unwanted good, a delivery driver picked the goods up, and after a week I contacted them only to be told nothing had been picked up.
I contacted the delivery company which didn’t help; according to them they had no records of anyone picking it up. After 2 days of phone calls the delivery company was not going to budge.
So I contacted the police, told them what had happened someone calming to be a deliver driver for that company took my goods and the company have no records of him (imposter) with in 4 day I had a phone call from the company apologising stating they had lost the records and indeed he was one of their drivers.
So my advice would be to write a letter to them explain the problem and I would also put in there that if they are sure the gentleman who collected the parcel was not in their employment then you will have to report it to the police.[FONT="]
