Do you think it is ok/wise for me to put 10 day holiday in one go?

I asked my rota lady today how much annual leave I have between now and march left she said 81 hours so 11 days when divided by an average working day (7).
Now it is only 8-12 week away until march 31st and I am more than capable of working that without needing a break. Do you think it would be wise to put the 10 days in one go, so as not to lose them?
Do you thinkt hey would think less of me as an employee wanting 10 days off in one go. I just want to...
1) Not lose my holidays
2) refresh myself.
I have only been here since october 1st, but since starting work (altogether) 09/08/2010 have only had 7 days off.
I work in care.

Are a lot of other staff booked off in that period? There is nothing to stop you booking it off all in one go, if business needs allow it, or you could split it up so you've got several short working weeks?0

How do you think people manage to go away for a fortnight if it's not a good idea to take 10 days off?!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Personally I would rather that any of my employees put a holiday request in for ten days than to loose the holiday they are entitled to.
All you can do is submit the request and depending on the needs of your business your employer will ether approve or reject it. Give it a go everyone needs some time off to relax sometimes!!!!
Good Luck and enjoy your time off!0 -

I know I may very well be refused tom... I meant will they frown upon it if I take it in one go. With me not being employed there that long.
I don't like splitting A/L up. I would rather just work for a long time in a big chunk then have a nice long rest.0 -
See what they say - it really does depend on what other people have booked. If possible avoid any school holidays, as these are likely to already be booked.0

what happened to all your holidays for rest of 2010 and 2011 then...if you only had 7?0

I echo the sentiments of the other posters.
Do check your company rules and procedures in the taking of holidays though, as some have rules that do not allow more than 5 days off at any one time.
But, if you dont ask, you dont get.0
