Nottingham Building Society/Bradford and Bingley PPI

Please can anyone advise...I took out a mortgage with Bradford and Bingley in about 1998 and then changed mortgage providers in 2007 to Nottingham Building Society. I work full time for the NHS and get 6 months full, 6 months half pay which would have applied to both mortgages. I paid around £20 per month PPI on the Bradford and Bingley and when I changed providers to the Nottingham, paid approx £25 per month PPI to London and Edinburgh through the Nottingham. I changed mortgages last January to the Yorkshire bank with a whopping redemption fee to be paid to Nottingham (can this be claimed back does anyone know) When taking out both mortgages I thought i had to have the PPI when taking out both of the mortgages. Is this worth looking at do you think? Really grateful for advise/comments. Thank you. x

No. Early repayment charges are your choice to take on and your choice if you redeem early. They are a valid and fair charge. When taking out both mortgages I thought i had to have the PPI when taking out both of the mortgages.
A misconception is not grounds for complaint. Is this worth looking at do you think? Really grateful for advise/comments.
The 1998 case may be difficult. Especially if you used a broker/adviser rahter than buying via lender (it is pre-regulation for broker/advisers).
The 2007 case is much easier as that had to comply with modern rules and in 2007 it should have been checked.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thank you. I am actually using a claims company who have taken the B&B details. I won't hold out much hope for that one then. I took the mortgage through our local B&B branch. When you say the 1997 case is much easier, do you think this sounds more positive? Thanks again for your advise, very much appreciated0
