John Lewis Partnership Card Failure

Be aware that if you have a John Lewis Partnership Mastercard you will have it refused if you try and buy from any online merchant using 3d authentication software. "Explanation" from HSBC who issue it is:
1. It is the fault of the merchant for using that software.
2. It would cost too much to have the John Lewis card 3d authenticated.
HSBC do not feel that they need to tell anybody about this unless you ask!

Don't quite understand why you are "shouting:(" (i.e. using capitals), but as another poster has already pointed out this card is issued and managed by HSBC and the "help line" shown on the card is also an HSBC number.Have you spoken to JLP about this?or everybody BUT them?
That said I have also reported it to JLP locally who, whilst admitting that a least one other customer at that branch has already reported the same problem, do not seem to have resolved the issue.
HSBC seemed to be well aware of the problem, as they had a ready answer.0
