Lost voucher cost over cancelled trip... anything I can do?

I don't think there's anything to be done, but just incase...

I purchased a groupon voucher for 2 nights for 2 people in a hostel. We had the trip fully organised but I became very ill the evening before so we ended up not going.

The website states that in the event of a no-show, they will charge you for the first night. When I contacted them to see where the voucher stood, they said since they can't part-deduct from the voucher they have cancelled the full value :( I'm perfectly happy to pay the first night, but it doesn't seem fair to have to pay both. I was intending to re-book with them.

Do I have a leg to stand on?

Thanks for any help.
