do i qualify with my payout (redundancy) which should be around £14k?
do i get help with council tax payments (im on my own so get single persons discount already)?
loads more questions but cant think of them at the minute, ive been with this company 7.5 years and so scary having to look again knowing that loadsa folk are in the same boat and loadsa places closing down!!
any help/advice very much appreciated, thanks in advance

You will get JSA based on your NI contributions for the 1st 6 mths (26 weeks) then have to re apply for JSA based on income. Your capital must not exceed £16,000 in order for your to get that after 6 mths.
As far as Council tax goes I do not know, but maybe call the town hall to enquire first?0 -
It might be a good idea to head off to the benfits board - they have lots of people who can tell you exactly what you can claim and how to do it. We tend to have more people here who concentrate on the legal side of things than the benefits side.0
