elephant.co.uk adding claims to my policy on their own - any help?

That is a great pity

i always experiment with quotes online eg mileage/named drivers I've recently had one claim that has been changed to non fault as my past insurers eventually agreed the claim was not my fault. I hope the quotes where the claim was put in as my fault doesn't come back to haunt me!

Good news!

I received a letter from Elephant yesterday stating that they will not be adding that "claim" to my policy. They said that the whole procedure is standard practice but when the policy holder provides explanation of what has happened then they accept that.

The only problem with the whole situation is that the call centre agent wouldn't accept my explanation and she was actually saying that I am not supposed to enter unreal data into insurance companies websites, because they are not designed for that.

Anyway, good thing that someone in Elephant did the right thing and wrote a two page letter replying to all my questions and epxlaining the situation.
