At home with the kids today, its been raining here all morning and windy, about an hour ago it went pitch black the wind really picked up and it was raining so hard it looked like it was snowing!!!
Hope my roof, fences and trees all ok will go out and look when it dies down a bit more. Just had a delivery and the driver said she had to pull over as the conditions were so bad, roads flooded and trees down, this is hertfordshire not the highlands of Scotland!!!!
Hope everyone else is ok out there? Not sure if it was localised or not, about to put tv news on.

Well feel a bit silly now posting the above as it's obviously been a bad night and morning everywhere, the trouble with being at home with kids watching CBeebies! It was just so unusual to get that sort of weather around here, I hope that everyone else is OK out there I am sure looking at the news it's been a whole lot worse throughout the UK today, it was such a shock to see it around here, I normally only see that sort of thing on the 6 o'clock news, the weather report this morning on TV said weather was to be bad in the North, Ireland and Scotland!!!

Im on the coast in Sussex and its been totally vile here.
The wind started picking up about 4o'clock this morning and has only subsided within the last half hour (still raining though).
Last day of the school holiday for the kids, i was hoping to go out and do something really nice with them but am currently recovering from flu so that's out the question.

Its meant to get really bad here again Wednesday

We had a mini monsoon here in West London , sheeting down with hailstones for 15mins and now the roads are flooded in places we sat in the car and waited for it to slow down a bit... now the sun is shining but its still windy and black in the distance.
