If you have to stop on the roadside:
•do not park facing against the traffic flow
so following on from my previous post, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3706585
the other night a bus bumped/damaged another car just 20 yards away from his. This other car was facing the 'wrong way' and I just wonder if insurance companies would use it as an excuse to avoid paying out if you needed to claim?

Probably, It had incorrect lighting markers because it was backwards.
My dad said they ticketed loads of cars in his street for that when i was merely a tadpole
