Private house sellers - French connection

I've got my house for sale ad on several websites with, naturally enough, a contact link to one of my email addresses.
Last week got a 'hit' from 'Antoine' with a French Yahoo address, wanting more info.
Replied saying... once you've looked at (this other site), how about a viewing?
Antoine says he's an intermediary for investors, and can I ring this French tel no?
Me - not flippin' likely - it might be a premium rate no or another scam.
Antoine's gone v. quiet!

Quite possibly - if you received am email from this person, check the headers to determine what ip address the email originated from, and then use ripe.net to find out where this ip address is registered.

Thanks 'maninthestreet' - esp for the ripe.net link; fascinating!
However, all I can extract from the ip stuff is that it did indeed originate from France.
Still, even Nigerian scammers are allowed to live elsewhere!
