Insurers GRRRRRRR
I was previously insured with the AA. About 1 month before my insurance expired I bought a new (and bigger car).
The AA revised my renewal preium up by £200 and I looked around to see what else there would be. I found a much cheaper insurer.
I didn't bother to cancel my AA insurance but only cancelled the direct debit.
I have not got several demands from them threatening "enforcement action"
Are they really within their rights to come after me, having autorenewed my policy without my consent?

Presumabley, when you signed up you gave your "informed consent" or something similar that they would continue to renew year on year. Best thing to do is send them a copy of your alternative policy and they should back-date the cancellation to the start date of your new policy.Out of Darkness Cometh Light, Out of Sandwell Cometh S***e...0

I have to agree with stooby on this.
Its something people should be aware of,as is the fact that insurance companies often offer a good premium on one vehicle but seem expensive on others, therfor it pays to check when you change your car.
There are two sides to every story.
