Hi there! Can anyone assist me? Never posted a thing in my life but here goes! Basically my partner got a leased van for work purposes at end of 2005. The guy who conducted the deal told him he must get the ppi knowing he was a self employed builder! My partner signed up and has now he given van back but paid out about £5000 ppi which was invalid as he was not covered as self employed. About a year ago I encouraged him to claim but he used a company who we sent all the details to and they wrote back saying no claim??? Anyway I want to know if I should have a stab at a reclaim with him? Question is do I write to the car lending company- Nissan or the company the ppi contract with??? A confused Maggie?

The complaint is against the firm that sold the PPI - normally the dealer.
The fact that he was self-employed would not necessarily invalidate the cover but if it was a single premium added to the loan a complaint is likely to be upheld.0
