  • I am just about to list all of my DVD's on eBay ill let you know how I get on. One idea I had was to split them dwon in genres, as that will appeal to people more i think, that and the fact i have a boat load!

Is ebay worth it for these items once the selling fees and paypal fees are taken into account ?

Just a word of advice. I went to put a load of DVDs onto Music Magpie and one of them - Jim Carey's The Mask came out at £3, well chuffed and was happy to send for that until I checked on Ebay and it averages out selling price on there for £10!! Guess where it is going? Things that were on there for 30p was not worth putting on Ebay on a whole but anything getting to a few pounds seemed to make a lot on Ebay, just worth checking :rotfl:

Trouble is, you can spend a lot of time researching what DVD/CDs sell for on Ebay, but it doesn't meant that's what you will sell the same item for.

Ebay has no way of entering barcodes in to the search box. If it did, then this would speed things up considerably.

    Hi everyone :)

Just wanted to say thanks for mentioning Zapper and Music Magpie! I registered with both and i'm posting one lot to Zapper and two lots to MM on Wednesday, which will hopefully get me around £40 if all goes smoothly. At first I thought "30p?!" for some of the titles I was putting a barcode in for and then I thought about a bunch of DVDs i'd put on eBay several weeks ago with which i'd made next to nothing.

It's so much easier just popping the barcode in and deciding whether you think it's worth the payment (I had to force myself to part with several DVDs for 30p each because right now I need the money more than DVDs) rather than listing on eBay, waiting for it to sell, packing and printing post labels and then having to go post them.

I compared each DVD/CD/Game between Zapper & MM and quite often one paid a few pence to 30p or 40p more, so it's defo worth checking both out. Also, if it offered me more than I was expecting I checked on eBay to see if they were selling for more ;) So I haven't completely avoided trudging through the many efforts of eBay as there is a few things i'm going to list in hope of getting a little more.

I also discovered a book I bought about 7-8 years ago seems to be unavailable anymore and others that were recommended on the back pages of it are collectors items. I was surprised when Zapper offered £10 and I thought it'd only offer £1 or something near so had a look on eBay, Amazon and Play.com (where i'd purchased it from). I like it too much to part with it anyway, not that it's the kind of book you read regularly O.o

Woah, this has been a long post. So anyway, I hope you're all getting some good offers for your CDs/DVDs/Games/Books

    Thanks again! ;)
